Bike Bike Revival
If your bike is gathering dust at the back of the shed, then bring it along to the FREE Big Bike Revival workshop on Friday 5th June at Sacred Heart Primary School. The event at 3.30pm is open to anybody who wants to give some TLC to their neglected bicycle… and it’s totally FREE.
The event – which is being organised by Wigan-based social enterprise GEARNG UP in partnership with Leigh Neighbours – is part of a national campaign by the cycling charity CTC which aims to get fairweather cyclists to get back in the saddle.
Simon Dale of Gearing Up says: “Our workshop offers people a great opportunity to dust off their bike and get it ready for summer. So whether it’s got a dodgy brake pad, punctured inner tube or rusty chain, bring it along for a free check-up and you’ll be back on the road in no time! We’ll carry out any basic repairs, plus you can claim your free giveaways and enter a competition to win a preloved bike!”
