Resident's Fund

We have money set aside to support local residents, groups, organisation and schools to deliver small projects which will help the area a better place to live.

These can range from ideas to spruce up the alley behind their houses, like this area behind Selwyn Street (above).

Support for the Homeless Shelter to improve the outdoor area for residents at their base on Railway Road or for a local school to purchase an washer and tumble dryer so that they can help children who need their clothes washing.

By submitting this form you are agreeing to the following:

  • All funds that you receive will be used exclusively for the idea or project that you’ve proposed.
  • All invoices and receipts to be submitted to the Finance Officer sue@lnpb.org.uk within 30 days of the end of the project.
  • Any funding not used on the idea or project must be returned to the Leigh Neighbours Partnership Board no later than 30 days after the completion of the idea or project.
  • If the idea or project is not started within 90 days of receiving the funding via BACS to the organisation account, then all funds must be returned to Leigh Neighbours.
  • You or your organisation have suitable and appropriate insurance cover for your project and indemnify the Leigh Neighbours Project and the Leigh Neighbours Partnership Board of any liability.
  • Photographs of you and your idea can be used in Leigh Neighbours publicity.
  • You report back to us at the end of your project on how it went.
  • If your application is unsuccessful, Leigh Neighbours will not be liable for any costs incurred by the applicant.

Who can we fund?

We can support: individuals who live in the project area, voluntary and community organisations, community councils, social enterprises and private companies (provided our grants do not contribute to the profits they distribute).

If you represent a funded service - a school, council service or department, the Police, the library service or similar - we will not provide any funding that simply replaces statutory funding to meet a statutory obligation. Any funding we provide should be additional to public funding. We do not fund projects retrospectively.
